Happy new year in the first place. This gonna be the first blog post in 2017 of FORBIDDEN. I would like to take this opportunity to look back to 2016 and make some resolutions to 2017 for FORBIDDEN.
FORBIDDEN project was established since mid of 2016. It is a project of mine, as a barista, recording and sharing my coffee journey. It was the time that I had started being a barista for some time and I started feeling kinda lost ( I know it happens to other barista too ! ) . I worked with coffee everyday but I had never felt so far away from coffee. Living life almost with the same pattern everyday, I felt like an endless loop. I doubted myself. I was frustrated. I was struggling like people trying to hold a slipping relationship.
So I was looking for sparkles that once happened to me and coffee.
I started re-learning everything on coffee. I started taking part in coffee competitions and I started writing about coffee. I LOVE writing. It is one of my favorite habits, with coffee, I knew I can build something over it. Therefore, I worked on FORBIDDEN project. I set up this website, bought the domain, did all the decorations and writings in one night.
In the beginning, I pushed myself to keep writing and writing. You gotta believe it, all matters in this world are big and small wheels. When you start pushing and giving energy in, everything else moves and runs automatically. I got tons of ideas in coffee in my mind suddenly. I did researches, experiments, shares, blogs……I have the energy moving one step further with coffee, my career.
Enough for 2016 ! Let’s begin 2017.
I’m never leaving FORBIDDEN. It is my core belief in coffee. In 2017, I would like to restructure it a bit :
- For #BaristaLife, I will try to share more on daily life or diets as a barista. It would be really great if you can tell me what you are curious about a barista daily too !
- For #CoffeeMyth, I will try to share more on brewing techniques and coffee knowledge.
- In terms of new sections, I am thinking to capture more beautiful moments on coffee ( like maybe starting an IG account ) , creating artwork with espresso and might do interviews with baristas.
